Summary

Two people。 Infinite lifetimes。 One impossible choice。

Thora and Santi are strangers in a foreign city when a chance encounter intertwines their fates。 At once, they recognize in each other a kindred spirit—someone who shares their insatiable curiosity, who is longing for more in life than the cards they’ve been dealt。 Only days later, though, a tragic accident cuts their story short。

But this is only one of the many connections they share。 Like satellites trapped in orbit around each other, Thora and Santi are destined to meet again: as a teacher and prodigy student; a caretaker and dying patient; a cynic and a believer。 In numerous lives they become friends, colleagues, lovers, and enemies。 But as blurred memories and strange patterns compound, Thora and Santi come to a shocking revelation—they must discover the truth of their mysterious attachment before their many lives come to one, final end。

I have never been so conflicted about what to rate a book。 Did I love it? Did I hate it? I honestly couldn’t say

What an interesting read and not at all what I expected。 I love how these two people keep meeting each other at different ages, different lives, etc。 I wasn't sure I was going to like but about 1/3 of the way in I got engrossed in the story and wanted to see where it would end。 I did like the way it ended and can't wait for another book by this author What an interesting read and not at all what I expected。 I love how these two people keep meeting each other at different ages, different lives, etc。 I wasn't sure I was going to like but about 1/3 of the way in I got engrossed in the story and wanted to see where it would end。 I did like the way it ended and can't wait for another book by this author 。。。more

Definitely a unique read! Santi and Thora are so interesting on how their relationship changes and stays the same over the course of the story。 It isn’t a 5-star read for me because the story was pretty slow in the beginning/middle。I am definitely looking forward to seeing it modified for a large screen though!

I would love to watch it! 。Thank you to HarperCollins NZ for sending me a review copy ❤️❤️ 。。。more

Meet me in another life was not the novel I thought it was going to be。 This was both a disappointing and refreshing surprise。 I was at first disappointed because I desired a long lost love story and instead had relationships that went from friends to lovers to enemies。 The middle of the novel is where the story takes a turn。 Santi and Thora have been fighting cases of deja vu every time their lives intersect, but at this point they start to remember all of their lives and know that they are dif Meet me in another life was not the novel I thought it was going to be。 This was both a disappointing and refreshing surprise。 I was at first disappointed because I desired a long lost love story and instead had relationships that went from friends to lovers to enemies。 The middle of the novel is where the story takes a turn。 Santi and Thora have been fighting cases of deja vu every time their lives intersect, but at this point they start to remember all of their lives and know that they are different in this repeating world。 Both wondering why they are stuck in this universe, is it destiny or punishment, is it a chance to get it right or just cosmic chaos? I am shocked when they finally realize their true plight and put the pieces of their multiple lives together。 It certainly is not the outcome I had imagines when choosing this novel but I really enjoyed the way it came together。 Santi and Thora are amazingly profound characters that intertwine and compliment each other。 The ending made me a bit emotional but like Thora said, Santi wouldn’t have it any other way。 。。。more

Beautifully told story that starts to slowly piece together to a plot before starting to unravel again around the mid of the book towards the cherry-on-top ending。 The ending was one of the best I had ever read。

Wow。So good。 so GOOD。 I wish I had offered this up to my book club! The characters and plot were amazing。 How the author weaved the lives together and left little clues throughout each one… the ending。 Gosh。 I wish I could read it for the first time all over again。

ABF。 All but finished。 The premise started off intriguing but by about five lifetimes in the tale felt like a lifetime。 The author didn’t appear to know understand how to bring this to and end so it went off the deep end。

Struggled with this one - 2。5 stars rounded up to 3。 Not a fan of sci-fi and the twist that is in the book。 Some parts I really enjoyed, and then just wanted to hurry up and finish it。 Didn’t really connect to either lead character。

Weird。 The first part of the book was more like a series of short stories, with just the names of the characters in common。 In part 2 it started to weave the stories together。 Towards the end of the book it just got really weird。 I wouldn’t have read it if I knew more about the storyline, and didn’t particularly like the characters either。 Not my cup of tea, but others will like it。There is intergalactic space travel as a key plot in the book。 I’m pretty sure a lot of people picking this book up Weird。 The first part of the book was more like a series of short stories, with just the names of the characters in common。 In part 2 it started to weave the stories together。 Towards the end of the book it just got really weird。 I wouldn’t have read it if I knew more about the storyline, and didn’t particularly like the characters either。 Not my cup of tea, but others will like it。There is intergalactic space travel as a key plot in the book。 I’m pretty sure a lot of people picking this book up wouldn’t read it knowing that。 。。。more

I was expecting this to be similar The Notebook, not that I have read The Notebook。 It was nothing like the Notebook。 The main characters share different relationships in the "lives" that they live。 The transitions are a little clunky, but the last third of the book I couldn't put it down。 I was expecting this to be similar The Notebook, not that I have read The Notebook。 It was nothing like the Notebook。 The main characters share different relationships in the "lives" that they live。 The transitions are a little clunky, but the last third of the book I couldn't put it down。 。。。more

Meet Me In Another Life was certainly interesting。 Philophical questions, determinism, faith vs atheism are all im this story of two people whose lives seem intertwined for eternity。It was a complex plot which I did at times, find slightly laboured。 I wanted to enjoy it more than I did。 I didn't warm to the main characters, (Thora and Santi), which meant I didn't care enough about their fate。Having said that, I think it's a book that will have an impact and will make me ponder long after it is c Meet Me In Another Life was certainly interesting。 Philophical questions, determinism, faith vs atheism are all im this story of two people whose lives seem intertwined for eternity。It was a complex plot which I did at times, find slightly laboured。 I wanted to enjoy it more than I did。 I didn't warm to the main characters, (Thora and Santi), which meant I didn't care enough about their fate。Having said that, I think it's a book that will have an impact and will make me ponder long after it is complete。 。。。more

I really really wanted to love this book but it fell a little flat for me。 The biggest reason is because I thought it would be a time travel story when in reality it's science fiction。I also felt like 90% of the book was spent building up to a big reveal and when it came I was left thinking "huh, that's it?" I know others have loved it so if you're a fan of sci fi or go into it more interested in the character development rather than a twist, this might be for you。Thank you to William Morrow for I really really wanted to love this book but it fell a little flat for me。 The biggest reason is because I thought it would be a time travel story when in reality it's science fiction。I also felt like 90% of the book was spent building up to a big reveal and when it came I was left thinking "huh, that's it?" An interesting cross genre book but a little bit too stretched to my taste。。。I’ll start with what I liked the most: the characters, Thora and Santi。 The first time they meet is really cute, but ends quite tragically。 Then, they meet again, but in different time and space, and not only as lovers。 They’re colleagues, parent and child, teacher and student, etc。 Their personality however remains quite the same。 Santi is an optimistic, and a believer in Life and whatever it has to offer。 Thora names An interesting cross genre book but a little bit too stretched to my taste。。。I’ll start with what I liked the most: the characters, Thora and Santi。 The first time they meet is really cute, but ends quite tragically。 Then, they meet again, but in different time and space, and not only as lovers。 They’re colleagues, parent and child, teacher and student, etc。 Their personality however remains quite the same。 Santi is an optimistic, and a believer in Life and whatever it has to offer。 Thora names him once in the book “Mr。 there’s-no-wrong-choice,there’s-just-what-happens” and I find that it suits him well。 Thora, on the contrary, is pessimistic, and has little patience when they’re both thrown in this kind of eternal circle of rebirth, especially when they start remembering their “previous lives”。 She does not become the better version of herself to say the least。 She’s provocative and mean towards Santi, and borderline psychopath, which makes her an unlikeable character。 But I loved their dynamic though, even if it was a bit repetitive at times (but still realistic)。But this is not just a sort of science-fi romance。 I don’t want to spoil but there’s more to the story, especially at the end when you’re in need of an explanation and starting to loose patience (like Thora)。 However, I was not a big fan of the big reveal, mostly because I had the feeling that it popped out of nowhere。 It felt almost like cheating。。。 Still, I think I’m not going to forget this story。 It’s original, refreshing and I really loved the poetical and lyrical style of writing。 。。。more

I started this book thinking it would be a romantic love story of soul mates who paths continue to cross across different lifetimes。 It is a love story but not really a romance。 Thora & Santi are both college students when they first meet each other in Cologne, Germany。 Both are outsiders in the city who long to travel to the stars。 But this first life is cut short quickly and they meet again & again in different lives and at different ages。 They always meet in the same year so I thought it must I started this book thinking it would be a romantic love story of soul mates who paths continue to cross across different lifetimes。 It is a love story but not really a romance。 Thora & Santi are both college students when they first meet each other in Cologne, Germany。 Both are outsiders in the city who long to travel to the stars。 But this first life is cut short quickly and they meet again & again in different lives and at different ages。 They always meet in the same year so I thought it must be parallel universes。 The lives are interesting at first but quickly become repetitive until they start remembering their past lives。 Then there is a mystery to be solved about why they keep meeting each other in Cologne。 Santi is convinced that God is behind this mystery & Thora cannot believe that。 They come together each time, sometimes in love & sometimes in anger。 The book took a long time to come to a conclusion but it was a satisfying one。 Good book。 。。。more

I loved this book。 It was captivating and the character development through each life was astounding。 As the pieces of the mystery come together, it is a complete surprise。

‘Meet Me In Another Life’ is the beautifully written story of Thora and Santi who meet again and again, in different situations。 It was poignant and heartwarming and thought-provoking。 I didn’t know where it was going and it surprised me。 The different stages of life and the types of people we all are, were brought to the fore。 A book to get lost in。I was given this ARC to review。

This was a completely different read to what I expected, but a brilliant debut and unique。 In some ways the story is a little repetitive as the two main protagonists meet over and over but in different lives。Each time they meet the city is the same, the timeline is the same but they don’t know each other。 Thora and Santiago are in Cologne, they don’t come from there, they meet everything is special, tragedy happens。 They meet again another life in each chapter one of them passes。 But why do they This was a completely different read to what I expected, but a brilliant debut and unique。 In some ways the story is a little repetitive as the two main protagonists meet over and over but in different lives。Each time they meet the city is the same, the timeline is the same but they don’t know each other。 Thora and Santiago are in Cologne, they don’t come from there, they meet everything is special, tragedy happens。 They meet again another life in each chapter one of them passes。 But why do they keep meeting? What is the special bond that links them for this to continue over and over。 Each time their ages are different one is older, another they are the same or similar ages, sometimes a larger age difference。 With different jobs relationships such as a parent/child, teacher and student, patient/carer。The relationships are also different boyfriend and girlfriend, married, Santiago is with Heloise and Thora is with Jules。 Something just links them, they both are interested in learning and both fascinated with science。 As the story gets further in they start to realise they have met before, they remember things from different lives。 Think of Groundhog Day with the loop and that is how part of this is。 But each have different beliefs Santiago believes in god, but Thora is an atheist。 There are clues along the way within the eighteen stories that have the answers although they really aren’t easy to work out。 I felt I was just reading about the same couple but each time something slightly different。 Will they ever actually get together and live happily ever after。I liked the characters, and this is a well written story but I couldn’t solve the mystery as I read, can you? To give the ending away would spoil the reveal so that’s for you the reader to decide what you think。 It didn’t end how I expected。 This is a book that will leave you thinking about it after you have finished。 。。。more

I wasn't sure what to think when I started this novel but this mysterious romance soon had me hooked。 Santi and Thora are forever entertwinned in the Sci fi love story but can they break the cycle before its too late and they have lost one another forever。It's hard to put this one into words because the story is complicated but in a good way。 Its unpredictable, each new life they live different from the one before。 The pair of them will take you on an emotional rollercoaster through the stars。 I I wasn't sure what to think when I started this novel but this mysterious romance soon had me hooked。 Santi and Thora are forever entertwinned in the Sci fi love story but can they break the cycle before its too late and they have lost one another forever。It's hard to put this one into words because the story is complicated but in a good way。 Its unpredictable, each new life they live different from the one before。 The pair of them will take you on an emotional rollercoaster through the stars。 It was worth the read and I has made me consider more from the genre。 。。。more
